The purpose of the application is to provide a fast and easy way to measure vibrations caused by bearing failures using only a smart phone. While not intended to replace measurements made with calibrated, industrial grade measurement devices, the app provides fast approximations that confirm the need for more detailed investigation, thereby creating efficiencies in resource deployment.
